Cover types and pricing (per square foot):
• Flat pan (non-insulated): $27/sq. ft. — full shade, best value
• Lattice: $29/sq. ft. — filtered light, classic pergola look
• Insulated (IRP): $35/sq. ft. — coolest underneath, quiet in the rain
Projects start at a $3,000 minimum. Freestanding covers with steel posts and footings run $500 per post. Popular add-ons: recessed lights $100 each, fan installation $200 (you supply the fan), GFCI outlets $150, post lights $150, and switches/dimmers $100.
Nuevo is unincorporated, so permits run through Riverside County — most covers require one. Our permit service is $600 plus county fees, and we handle the paperwork, drawings, and inspections ourselves.
Can you build a freestanding cover away from the house?
Yes — freestanding is a great fit for Nuevo properties. We set steel posts in proper footings and build the cover where you want it: over a patio, a pool deck, or a gathering spot in the yard.
My property is large — do you charge more to come out here?
No. Nuevo is right in our home territory between Perris and Hemet. Your free estimate and your build are done by the owners, same as our in-town jobs.
