Cover types and pricing (per square foot):
• Flat pan (non-insulated): $27/sq. ft. — solid shade and rain protection
• Lattice: $29/sq. ft. — open, airy, filtered sunlight
• Insulated (IRP): $35/sq. ft. — foam-core panels that cut heat and rain noise
Projects start at a $3,000 minimum. Freestanding covers with steel posts and footings run $500 per post. Add recessed lights ($100 each), a ceiling fan install ($200 — you supply the fan), GFCI outlets ($150), post lights ($150), or a dimmer ($100).
Jurupa Valley requires permits for most patio covers. Our permit service is $600 plus city fees and covers the paperwork, drawings, and inspections.
Can you build a freestanding cover away from the house?
Yes — freestanding is a great fit for Jurupa Valley lots. We set steel posts in proper footings and build the cover where you want it: over a pool deck, an outdoor kitchen, or a gathering spot in the yard.
My lot is large and the patio is oversized — is that a problem?
No. Custom sizing is what we do. At your free estimate we'll measure the space and price attached, freestanding, or a combination — whatever fits how you use the property.
